Growing up it was hard to pinpoint what career would be the right fit for me since my interests were broad. My education began in areas like painting, animation, photography, architecture, and interior design. Until one day, I realized my whole life I’d been unknowingly preparing myself to be an art director.
One of my main interests was telling stories so I enrolled in the Animation & Media Arts program at the Art Institute of Austin where I specialized in illustration and 2d animation. The goal was to work for an animation studio or publishing house, but instead, I luckily found myself working for a marketing/advertising agency as a lead designer.
Although, designing wasn’t the plan it was in this industry that I developed a love for branding, web design, and content creation. It was also where I saw the capability to use all of these art forms I’ve come to master and apply them to my projects.
